Job summary

Nuro is seeking a hands‑on Recruiting Manager to build and lead the team behind our Driver organization. You will partner with engineering leaders and a co‑CEO to shape role scopes, run critical searches personally, and coach a 4–5 person recruiting team to hire top ML, autonomy, and systems talent.

You will own quarterly hiring plans, manage talent pipelines, and drive data‑driven decisions to sustain a high talent bar across specialized engineering roles.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in technical recruiting, with at least 3 hiring ML, robotics, autonomy, or similarly specialized engineering talent.
• 2+ years managing recruiters, ideally while still carrying your own searches.
• Experience hiring Staff, Principal, and Director+ level engineers.
• Working understanding of the Autonomy or ML talent market and compensation in offers.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 4–5 recruiters and run critical searches personally.
• Partner with engineering leaders and the co‑CEO to define role scope and profile.
• Coach recruiters on sourcing depth, technical screening, and selling the mission.
• Calibrate with hiring managers on interview bar and speed, pushing back when needed.
• Build trusted reporting dashboards for pipeline health and conversion.
