Job summary

Aurora is seeking a CDL A driver for its autonomous vehicle testing program. You will operate Class 8 trucks on public roads and test tracks, collecting data while adhering to DOT regulations and safety protocols. Travel up to 90% nationwide, with shift schedules including weekends.

This 6-month assignment offers exposure to cutting-edge autonomous tech, requires at least 3 years' commercial driving, and expects strong communication, problem solving, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Interstate Class-A CDL with valid U.S. license.
• Must pass DOT medical exam and FMCSA qualifications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for technical reporting.

Responsibilities

• Strictly follow DOT regulations and safety protocols while representing the company.
• Operate an 8‑truck equipped with autonomous driving tech to collect data for engineers.
• Work sometimes as a two-person team, manage mission software, and monitor real-time data feeds.
• Execute test missions on public roads and closed courses to evaluate software changes.
• Perform pre-trips and sensor verifications, ensuring day’s mission readiness.
