Job summary

Aurora is seeking a Class A Driver based in Laredo, TX for a 6-month assignment with potential extension. You will pilot autonomous semi trucks on road and in tests, monitor autonomous systems, and relay real-time feedback to engineers. You may work various shifts and travel up to 50% as required.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL and interstate driving experience.
• Clean driving record meeting MVR guidelines.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely pilot autonomous semi trucks on road and closed courses.
• Monitor driver-assist systems and maintain alertness during autonomy.
• Provide real-time feedback to engineers on performance.
• Escalate blockers with suggested solutions to teams.
• Collaborate across Aurora teams to advance operations.
• Engage in cross-functional projects as time allows.
• Keep knowledge up-to-date on software and operational changes.
• Maintain required accounts and access across vendor platforms.
• Meet DOT and FMCSA requirements and certifications.
• Work with public in a professional ambassador role.
• Appear for night shifts and rotating schedules as needed.
