Job summary

Rivian Automotive in Nevada seeks an experienced Operations Coordinator to oversee our autonomous vehicle testing and on-site operations. You will lead a team of vehicle operators and safety drivers, manage shifts, schedules, and fleet allocations, and coordinate safety protocols with engineering teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of supervisory or team lead experience in autonomous vehicle operations, automotive proving grounds, robotics testing, or complex fleet management.
• Strong background in executing structured test suites, software deployment processes, and hardware integration workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead, direct, and mentor a team of vehicle operators and safety drivers, managing daily shift operations and handovers.
• Coordinate team schedules, route assignments, and vehicle allocations to optimize driver utilization and mission coverage based on test plans.
• Prepare training materials, onboarding programs, and evaluate operator performance and driving standards.
• Oversee public road testing to ensure adherence to SOPs and safety protocols.
• Oversee pre-trip and post-trip inspections for functionality and safety; troubleshoot and guide software/hardware updates on test vehicles.
• Define and track key performance metrics such as test miles, driver uptime, and vehicle availability.
