Rivian seeks a Vehicle Operator II to support autonomy systems validation through hands-on testing, floor leadership, and driver training. You will oversee vehicle prep, data offload, and shift handovers while coaching operators to uphold safety and testing standards.

Responsibilities include operating prototype vehicles in multiple modes, performing inspections, and coordinating fleet charging and maintenance. Some travel may be required as testing schedules demand.

Qualifications

• 2+ years driving autonomous vehicles or fleet operations; coaching/mentoring peers.
• Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication; capable of giving constructive feedback.
• Ability to maintain high focus while monitoring autonomous systems for 6–8 hours daily.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stay active on shop floors or test sites.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% for off-site testing and work overtime or weekends as schedules require.
• Proficiency with laptops, smartphones, and enterprise tools (Google Docs/Sheets/Maps).

Responsabilités

• Train and mentor operators; deliver hands-on driving and safety instruction.
• Provide real-time coaching on disengagement protocols and safe testing procedures.
• Guide operators on workflows, logging, software flashing, and vehicle prep.
• Serve as on-shift floor lead; handle driver questions and feedback.
• Safely operate prototype test vehicles across modes on varied roads.
• Monitor safety, perform pre/post-trip checks, and data logging.
• Coordinate maintenance, route assignments, and fleet charging logistics.
