TRUCKING PEOPLE in Austin, TX is seeking a Technical Support Specialist to troubleshoot technical issues, support vehicle operations, and keep the autonomous fleet ready for daily operations.

Join a growing autonomous vehicle industry and gain hands-on experience with Unix/Linux command line, fleet readiness, and on-site vehicle systems while working a 5-day schedule across multiple shifts.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of technical support, operations support, fleet support, or similar experience.
• Valid driver’s license held for at least 3 years.
• Strong driving experience in different road and weather conditions.
• Experience with vehicle dispatch, fleet readiness, startup/shutdown procedures, or similar operational tasks.
• Basic vehicle maintenance, routine service, mechanical, or technical troubleshooting experience.
• Comfortable responding quickly to technical or safety-related incidents.
• Comfortable using Unix/Linux command line.
• Strong computer and software skills.
• Experience with Slack and ticketing systems such as Jira or YouTrack preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working on-site around vehicles.
• Comfortable with the $20–$24/hour pay range.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and triage technical and vehicle-related issues.
• Use Unix/Linux command line to investigate issues and review logs.
• Support vehicle dispatch and fleet readiness.
• Perform vehicle startup and shutdown procedures.
• Monitor charging and system readiness.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance and minor technical troubleshooting.
• Document and elevate issues to engineering teams.
• Use Slack, ticketing systems, and other computer tools for daily operations.
• Respond quickly to operational, technical, and safety-related issues.
• Move and occasionally drive vehicles as needed.
