TRUCKING PEOPLE in Austin, TX is seeking a Fleet Manager to oversee a cutting-edge autonomous vehicle fleet, ensuring safety, readiness and peak performance.

You will coordinate preventative maintenance, oversee repairs with internal teams and partner centers, maintain fleet health records, and lead cross-functional collaboration with engineering and field ops. Travel between Austin and Dallas is required, with company-covered travel.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing large-scale fleets (corporate, taxi, rideshare, or bus operations).
• Strong organizational skills to oversee dozens of vehicles.
• Solid mechanical aptitude and ability to coordinate repairs.
• Detail-oriented, self-sufficient and accountable with ownership of fleet operations.
• Excellent communication at a central hub for updates.
• Valid driver's license with a clean record.
• Willingness to travel regularly between Austin and Dallas; travel covered by the company.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise service campaigns (recalls, part updates, system upgrades).
• Oversee mechanical repairs both onsite and with partner service centers.
• Maintain comprehensive fleet health records, ensuring every vehicle is current on inspections, software updates, and preventative maintenance.
• Serve as the primary point of truth for vehicle operational status and readiness.
• Collaborate with field teams, service technicians, and engineers to resolve technical issues quickly.
• Develop and refine fleet health tracking systems for accuracy and timely reporting.
• Support incident response including towing, recovery, and urgent repairs.
