Job summary

Wayve is seeking a Field Engineer to diagnose and resolve vehicle software and hardware issues, ensuring rapid fault triage and fleet uptime. You’ll work closely with engineers and global teams, operating in a fast-paced, 24/7 support environment from our Sunnyvale office.

You will adhere to safety protocols and contribute to refining field operations, participate in on-call rotations, and help drive efficiency across regions.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of vehicle diagnostics, software and hardware fault triage.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues quickly, meeting SLAs.
• Clear communication with global teams and smooth handovers across locations.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site fault triage and resolution to maintain fleet uptime.
• Follow structured fault diagnosis and repair protocols for efficiency.
• Collaborate with field engineers and cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
• Respond quickly to issues to meet the 5‑minute response target.
• Keep the Field Engineering Lead updated and ensure smooth handovers across locations.
• Participate in on-call rotations across multiple regions, 24/7 support.
