Job summary

Wayve is building an open, scalable AI driving platform with hybrid work options in Sunnyvale and beyond. You will own end-to-end development across frontend, backend, and infrastructure, collaborating with Product, Research, Safety, and Ops to deliver reliable fleet services and intuitive tools.

You will shape architecture, prototype ideas, and write robust code while mentoring teammates and improving engineering practices in a fast-paced, ship-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Experience shipping production full-stack applications and services.
• Hands-on depth across frontend, backend and infrastructure.
• Own projects from ambiguous problem through design, delivery and operation.
• Understand API contracts, data modeling and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Own meaningful projects from problem definition through design, implementation, deployment and production operation.
• Partner with Product, Research, Safety, Operations, SRE and Infrastructure to turn complex fleet needs into reliable services and intuitive tools.
• Contribute to architecture and planning, and validate ideas through prototypes.
• Write well-tested code and review changes with your peers.
• Make technical trade-offs that improve fleet visibility, reduce friction for users and keep systems dependable as deployments scale.
• Support other engineers’ growth through feedback and shared technical learning.
