Job summary

Wayve in Sunnyvale, CA is hiring a senior robotics/autonomy engineer to bring up real vehicle platforms, tune controls, and improve state estimation. You’ll work closely with controls, vehicle dynamics, and integration teams in a hybrid, hands-on environment.

You’ll diagnose complex integration issues from telemetry and logs, prototype fixes in C++ and Python, and help customer deployments at vehicle sites, travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Proven hands-on robotics/autonomy experience.
• Strong C++ and Python coding skills.
• Familiarity with controls, localization, odometry, and sensor fusion.
• Experience working with vehicle platforms and real-world deployments.

Responsibilities

• Debug and stabilise new autonomous-vehicle platforms during bring-up and deployment.
• Analyse telemetry, sensor data, logs, and vehicle behaviour to identify root causes.
• Tune controls, localization, odometry, sensor fusion, and state-estimation systems.
• Build metrics and tooling to understand vehicle-to-vehicle variability and generalisation.
• Prototype fixes and debugging utilities in C++ and Python.
• Collaborate with controls, vehicle dynamics, measurement, integration, and application‑engineering teams.
• Support customer programmes through hands‑on work at vehicle and customer sites.
