Job summary

Technology Service Corporation Defense Services is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, integrate, and test software for uncrewed aircraft systems. You will work on embedded flight components for Group 4/5 UAVs, prototype and test hardware, and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team across locations.

The role requires hands-on development, integration, and testing of autonomous vehicle software, with up to 10% travel to development sites and test ranges.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret DoD security clearance.
• Experience with embedded systems for autonomous vehicles.
• Proficiency in C/C++, Python, MATLAB, JavaScript.
• Strong foundations in data structures, algorithms, analysis, and testing.
• Knowledge of differential equations, linear algebra, and statistics.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain clean, well-documented code for embedded systems used in UAS.
• Assist debugging and testing of a larger codebase with a multi-developer team.
• Support software development during prototyping, end item development, and field tests.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across locations.
• Work with product owners to build software solutions for requirements.
• Develop software that enables rapid timelines for electrical design outcomes.
