Job summary

TSC's AISR division in Arlington, VA is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, integrate, and test software for uncrewed aircraft systems (UAS). The role focuses on embedded systems, autonomous vehicles, and flight components with up to 10% travel to development sites.

The ideal candidate will program design components, support prototype bring-up and testing, and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to meet rapid timelines and provide tangible electrical design outcomes.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret DoD security clearance.
• Experience with embedded systems for autonomous vehicles.
• Strong programming foundations in data structures, algorithms, analysis, testing.
• Knowledge of differential equations, linear algebra, statistics.
• Ability to communicate effectively in an engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain clean, well-documented, efficient code for embedded systems.
• Assist in debugging and testing a larger codebase with a multi-developer team; conduct developmental tests.
• Support software for UAS platforms, including prototyping and evaluation in lab and field tests.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team locally and across locations.
• Work with product owners to build software solutions for requirements.
• Create workable software solutions in a rapid timeline to meet challenges.

Education

Associate/Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Aerospace engineering, or a related field.
