Job summary

Technology Service Corporation Defense Services seeks a Software Engineer to design, develop, integrate, and test software for uncrewed aircraft systems (UAS). You will work on embedded flight components for Group 4/5 UAVs, join a multi-disciplinary team, and may travel up to 10% to development sites and test ranges.

Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with autonomous vehicles, sensor integration, and aerospace platforms, plus the ability to learn quickly and deliver under tight timelines.

Qualifications

• US citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret DoD clearance.
• Proficiency in C/C++, Python, MATLAB, JavaScript.
• Experience with embedded systems for autonomous vehicles.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, analysis, optimization, and testing.
• Applied mathematics, differential equations, linear algebra, and statistics.
• Basics of electrical components, data retrieval, and configuration changes on devices.
• Ability to communicate effectively in an engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain clean, well-documented code for embedded systems.
• Assist in debugging and testing a larger codebase with a multi-developer team.
• Support software development activities for UAS platforms, including prototyping and evaluation.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across locations.
• Work with product owners to build software solutions for requirements.
• Create workable software solutions quickly to meet timelines and challenges.
