Job summary

TSC's AISR division in Arlington, VA is seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, integrate and test software for uncrewed aircraft systems. The role focuses on embedded software for Group 4/5 UAVs and requires hands-on experience with autonomous vehicles, sensor and payload integration, and rapid prototype testing.

The ideal candidate will contribute to end-to-end software design, participate in test ranges, and work with a multidisciplinary team to meet demanding timelines.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship required or ability to obtain DoD security clearance.
• Experience in embedded systems for autonomous vehicles.
• Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and testing.
• Experience with software for aerospace/aviation platforms.
• Ability to communicate engineering concepts clearly and document work.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain code for embedded systems in UAS.
• Assist in debugging and testing a large codebase with a multi-developer team.
• Support software development activities for UAS platforms including prototyping and evaluation.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across locations.
• Work with product owners to implement software solutions.
