Job summary

TSC is seeking an embedded software engineer in Huntsville, AL to develop, maintain, and test software for Group 4/5 unmanned aircraft systems.

You will prototype and test in both lab and field settings, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to integrate sensors, payloads, and control systems.

Qualifications

• Requires a 2- or 4-year degree in engineering or computer science.
• US citizenship and ability to obtain Top Secret DoD clearance.
• Four+ years of embedded software experience and strong software foundations.

Job description

Develop, maintain, integrate, and test embedded software and control components for Group 4/5 unmanned aircraft systems, including prototyping and developmental testing in laboratory and field environments. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and product owners to deliver software solutions, integrate sensors and payloads, and troubleshoot real-world issues on rapid timelines.

Requirements

Requires an associate or bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering or computer science field and at least four years of experience, along with U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret DoD clearance. Candidates need proficiency in C/C++, Python, MATLAB, or JavaScript; embedded systems experience for autonomous vehicles; strong software engineering and applied mathematics foundations; and the ability to communicate and document technical work.
