Job summary

The Toro Company seeks a robotics perception engineer to develop and deploy perception software for autonomous outdoor platforms. You will work within a ROS/ROS 2 framework, integrating cameras, LiDAR, GNSS, and other sensors to enable robust perception and mapping in outdoor environments.

Ideal candidates have strong C++/Python software development skills on Linux, experience with robotics perception, and a track record of validating algorithms using simulation and field testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field.

Responsibilities

• Develop and integrate perception algorithms for autonomous outdoor robotic systems.
• Design modular perception software supporting future sensor upgrades.
• Validate perception algorithms through simulation and real‑world testing.
