Job summary

SR2 | Socially Responsible Recruitment | Certified B Corporation™ in New York is hiring a Robotics Software Engineer to help build the software powering autonomous, sensor-equipped systems for outdoor field deployment.

You will design, build, and optimize software across perception, mapping, and calibration, write robust ROS/ROS2 nodes for real-time robotics, and collaborate with hardware and ML teams to take prototypes to deployed products.

Qualifications

  • Strong hands-on experience with ROS/ROS2 and C++ in production or research robotics.
  • Background in perception, SLAM, sensor fusion, or calibration.
  • Comfort working across the stack - from low-level drivers to high-level autonomy.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and optimize software across perception, mapping, sensor fusion, and calibration.
  • Develop and maintain ROS/ROS2 nodes for navigation, control, and autonomy.
  • Write robust, efficient C++ for real-time robotic systems.
  • Work on SLAM, sensor calibration (intrinsic/extrinsic), and multi-sensor data pipelines.
  • Collaborate with hardware and ML teams to take systems from prototype to deployed product.
