Job summary

Overland AI in Seattle is seeking perception experts to advance off-road autonomy for defense applications. You will design, prototype, and deploy real-time perception algorithms on autonomous vehicles, with an emphasis on robustness and measurable metrics across the stack.

Candidates should hold a CS degree and 2+ years of experience in perception, with strong C++/Python skills, ROS 2, and DL frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.

Qualifications

• BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related field.
• 2+ years in perception algorithm research or industry.
• Expert in ROS 2 and real-time perception software.
• Strong C++/Python programming and DL framework experience.
• Ability to obtain DOD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, prototype, and deploy perception/deep-learning algorithms that run real-time on autonomous vehicles.
• Identify, implement, and respond to metrics affecting vehicle behavior.
• Support experimentation and integration of the perception stack with new sensors and configurations (C++).
• Collaborate with experts across disciplines to improve system reliability and performance.
