Job summary

ATOMS is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, maintain, and repair autonomous haulage systems at mining sites across the United States. You will join a deployment crew, often as the sole technician on site, and ensure production-ready operation of our equipment.

This field-based role requires 75% travel, adaptability to extreme conditions, and strong problem-solving skills. The base starting rate is $27.88 to $35.10 per hour, with pay determined by experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on experience in heavy equipment or related maintenance.
• Low-voltage electrical work (12/24V) including harness routing and connector termination.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and installation drawings.
• Must mobilize on short notice and travel ~75% to multi-week deployments.
• Valid US driver’s license.
• Comfortable with extreme site conditions (heat/cold, dust, altitude).
• Strong written and verbal communication with customers and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Install and deploy autonomous retrofit kits on heavy equipment at active mining sites.
• Work on customer sites as part of deployment crew, often as sole technician on site.
• Perform preventive maintenance to ensure system health and reliability.
• Monitor equipment conditions and log wear, degradation, or environmental impacts.
• Troubleshoot and repair hardware, software, and connectivity in the field.
• Provide on-site customer support with professional communication.
