Job summary

Waabi’s Lancaster, TX terminal seeks a Dispatcher to orchestrate missions, coordinate crews, and manage real-time operations for test and commercial runs. You will be the operational nerve center, ensuring fleet utilization and safety compliance.

The role requires experience in dispatch or a technical operations center, with hands-on use of Jira, Fleetio, and Motive. Day shifts include flexibility for extended hours, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in dispatch, fleet operations, mission control, or a highly technical operations center environment.

Responsibilities

• Curate and assign test and commercial missions for optimal fleet utilization.
• Monitor mission execution, autonomy health, and mission status across active crews.
• Own the comms desk and maintain live availability during the shift.
• Provide remote troubleshooting and escalate when needed.
• Have go/no-go authority on departures in unhealthy states.
• Pause autonomy operations for critical events and notify leadership.
• Interface with Maps, Release Coordination, Systems and Safety, and Fleet Readiness.
• Maintain mission records across Jira and Waabi App; log delays with codes.
• Communicate with customer facilities and carrier partners for service recovery.
• Ensure crews operate within FMCSA Hours of Service.
