Job summary

Waabi, a leader in Physical AI, is seeking a Night Dispatcher in Lancaster, TX to orchestrate test and commercial missions, monitor real-time fleet status, and act as the operational nerve center on the night shift, coordinating crews, trucks, and trailers.

You will own the comms desk, perform remote troubleshooting, and escalate incidents with the Shift Supervisor, while coaching Fleet Specialists and ensuring FMCSA Hours of Service compliance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of dispatch, fleet operations, or mission control experience.
• Proven ability to lead or supervise others.
• Strong coordination and problem-solving under pressure.
• Familiarity with DOT/FMCSA Hours of Service regulations.
• Experience in technical or testing environments is a plus.
• Experience with fleet management software or telematics platforms is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Curate and assign test and commercial missions for optimal fleet utilization.
• Monitor mission execution and autonomy health across active crews.
• Own the comms desk, maintain live availability, and handle Waabi hotline at night.
• Provide remote troubleshooting and escalate to Shift Supervisor as needed.
• Make go/no-go decisions on departures in unhealthy states.
• Pause autonomy operations for Critical events and notify Test Operations Lead.
• Interface with Maps, Release Coordination, Systems and Safety, and Fleet Readiness.
• Maintain mission records in Jira and Waabi App, log delays with codes.
• Communicate with customer facilities and carrier partners overnight.
• Ensure crew compliance with FMCSA Hours of Service.
• Lead and develop Fleet Specialists, including training and scheduling.
