Job summary

BELFOR USA is seeking an Intermediate Carpenter to provide on-site reconstruction support with extensive carpentry experience. The role requires working with limited supervision and advancing through the Level 3 BELFOR Carpenter track, including multi-family and commercial projects, and occasional travel for emergency services.

Responsibilities include overseeing containment, flood-cutting, salvage, and coordination with estimators.

Qualifications

• Extensive carpentry experience across residential, commercial and multi-family projects.
• Capable of assisting with scope development with BELFOR estimators and running projects autonomously.
• Level 3 progression within the BELFOR Carpenter track with development objectives.

Responsibilities

• Identify potential project issues early and seek guidance as needed.
• Direct questions to the appropriate resource and maintain project flow.
• Move and protect contents without damage.
• Construct containment for dust, dirt and contaminants in the work area.
• Perform flood-cutting, salvage and labeling of baseboards, cabinets, doors, etc.
• Complete shrink wrap training and four shrink-wrap projects as required.
• Develop knowledge of insulation types, thickness and R-values.
• Apply trim, doors, cabinetry, insulation, rough framing, acoustical ceilings, roofing and siding to tasks.
• Conduct daily vehicle safety checks and keep equipment clean and serviceable.
• Maintain focus on customer service principles and meet timelines.
• Work nights and weekends as required and travel periodically.
• Report time worked and materials used timely and accurately.
• Attend BELFOR safety training courses as required.
