Job summary

AutoNation, a leading US automotive retailer, seeks a Service Warranty Administrator to manage warranty claims processing and reconciliation. You will review warranty orders, liaise with manufacturers, and audit claims to ensure accuracy and timeliness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
• Customer service skills.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions.
• General knowledge of automotive parts and vehicle mechanical operations.
• Two years of experience in an automotive dealership.
• ASE certification or successful completion of pre-employment test.

Responsibilities

• Process all warranty claims by the next business day after RO close date.
• Handle and resolve claim corrections and charge-backs.
• Establish and maintain relationships with the manufacturer's warranty representatives.
• Review every warranty repair order for proper completion, accuracy and legibility.
• Analyze problems, identify trends, and develop strategies for maximizing the claim process.
• Flag technicians for the hours earned on the service performed.
• Provide a weekly report to the service manager on claim status.
• Report fraudulent manipulation of warranty claims.
• Provide updated parts listings weekly to the parts manager.
• Conduct weekly audits of warranty and schedules and address adjustments or write-offs.
• Assist service consultants and technicians with warranty questions and open RO closures.
• Attend warranty training courses as needed.
• Review aging schedules and reports; ensure compliance with regulations.
