Job summary

Experis Austria seeks an Automotive Vehicle Quality Engineer to support the Body, Chassis, Interior Quality Team in Auburn Hills. You will validate geometric design and assembly, develop monitoring plans, and push quality improvements across design, conformity and manufacturing teams.

The candidate will analyze data, perform root-cause analysis, and drive corrective actions to meet KPIs, with an emphasis on manufacturing excellence and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years in automotive Product/Manufacturing/Quality.
• Familiar with APQP/PPAP and supplier quality procedures.
• Strong statistics, metrology and root-cause analysis knowledge.
• Understanding of vehicle design, assembly and process control.

Responsibilities

• Validate product and process design and assembly at geometry level.
• Develop geometric monitoring plans for assembly lines.
• Ensure geometric quality convergence before volume production.
• Report quality issues with cross-functional teams to resolve root causes.

As a Automotive Vehicle Quality Engineer, you will be part of the Body, Chassis, Interior (BCI) Quality Team supporting vehicle quality assurance and manufacturing excellence. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, effective communication, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

• Validate product and process design and assembly at the geometric level of the scope entrusted (Quality Assurance Fixtures management).
• Participate in the development of the geometric monitoring plan at the assembly line.
• Ensure geometric quality convergence during the industrialization phase prior to volume production.
• Report component and assembly quality issues, collaborating with design, conformity, and manufacturing teams to resolve them.
• Conduct analyses, identify quality optimization solutions, define pilots for issues, and facilitate communication to meet KPIs.

What's Needed?

• Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field from an ABET-accredited university.
• 3-5 years of experience in automotive Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, or Product Quality.
• Knowledge of APQP/PPAP & Supplier Quality Manual.
• Proficiency in statistical data analysis, metrology principles, and root cause analysis methods.
• Strong understanding of vehicle design, assembly, tooling, and process control.
