Job summary

Creative Solutions Services, LLC is seeking a Quality Engineer for a 12+ month contract in Auburn Hills, MI (onsite). The role focuses on leading warranty resolution, cross-functional project coordination, and ensuring containment and permanent corrective actions are implemented.

The ideal candidate has a Mechanical Engineering background, 5+ years in product engineering, and strong proficiency in GD&T, Teamcenter, and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
• 5+ years of experience in Product Engineering.
• 2+ years of experience in testing/validation and test method development.
• Strong written and verbal communication/presentation skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Project; Teamcenter knowledge.
• Working knowledge of GD&T and reading detailed drawings.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate cross-functional project meetings; compile status reports and coordinate schedules.
• Lead the resolution of warranty-related issues; define solutions and track progress.
• Lead warranty triage; review claims with dealers and suppliers at QE Center and manufacturing locations.
• Establish and validate containment and permanent corrective actions.
• Review product/process changes and update internal metrics and control plans.

Immediate need for a talented Quality Engineer.

12+ months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Auburn Hills, MI (Onsite).

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitating cross functional project meetings Compile project status reports, coordinate project schedules, agendas, minutes and correspondence Identify and analyze system requirements, and define project scope, requirements, and deliverables involving multiple stakeholders
• Lead the resolution of warranty related issues - Accountable for problem solving process, proposed solution, validation, and weekly progress
• Lead Triage – warranty claims review, sorting claims and bucketing, review and call vehicles at dealers, support /Suppliers review at Quality Engineering Center and Manufacturing locations.
• Establish & validate containment & permanent actions
• Plants by physically reviewing the product/process changes, internal metrics and control plan update

Key Requirements and Technology Experience

• Bachelor of Applied Science (B.A.Sc) in Mechanical Engineering from accredited University
• 5+ years of experience in Product Engineering
• 2 + years of experience in testing/validation/test method development, including fixture design, instrumentation, data acquisition, etc.
• Strong written and verbal communication/presentation skills
• Well-rounded automotive knowledge and ability to work well in a team-oriented environment and able to manage unionized workforce
• Proficiency in MS Office applications, specifically MS Excel and Project
• Working knowledge of Teamcenter
• Working knowledge of GD&T and understanding full detail on drawings
