Unknown Automotive Client in Auburn Hills, MI is seeking an Automotive Vehicle Quality Engineer to join the Body, Chassis, Interior (BCI) Quality Team. You will support vehicle quality assurance and manufacturing excellence with strong analytical and communication skills.

The role focuses on design and process validation, geometric monitoring, issue reporting, and cross-functional collaboration to meet KPIs. Immediate start with long-term engagement potential is offered.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited university preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years automotive Product/Process/Quality experience.
• Knowledge of APQP/PPAP and Supplier Quality Manual.
• Proficiency in statistical data analysis and root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Validate product and process design and assembly at the geometric level.
• Develop geometric monitoring plan at the assembly line.
• Ensure geometric quality convergence during industrialization prior to volume production.
• Report quality issues and collaborate with design, conformity and manufacturing teams.
• Conduct analyses, identify optimization solutions, define pilots and communicate KPI targets.

What's the Job?

• Validate product and process design and assembly at the geometric level of the scope entrusted (Quality Assurance Fixtures management).
• Participate in the development of the geometric monitoring plan at the assembly line.
• Ensure geometric quality convergence during the industrialization phase prior to volume production.
• Report component and assembly quality issues, collaborating with design, conformity, and manufacturing teams to resolve them.
• Conduct analyses, identify quality optimization solutions, define pilots for issues, and facilitate communication to meet KPIs.

What's Needed?

• Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or related field from an ABET-accredited university.
• 3-5 years of experience in automotive Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Supplier Quality, or Product Quality.
• Knowledge of APQP/PPAP & Supplier Quality Manual.
• Proficiency in statistical data analysis, metrology principles, and root cause analysis methods.
• Strong understanding of vehicle design, assembly, tooling, and process control.
