Job summary

North American Stamping Group in Portland, TN is seeking an Automotive Tooling Engineer to lead and maintain tooling processes in the Production Department, ensuring on-time delivery and quality within budget. You will troubleshoot production issues and back up the Tooling Manager as needed.

We value experience with tool and die, CAD, and continuous improvement, and offer training, career growth, and a path in a family-owned automotive supplier with multiple facilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalet required.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
• Certified Toolmaker or 5 years’ experience in Tool and Die field.

Responsibilities

• Work from tool room schedule to ensure production tooling and equipment are ready to meet customer requirements.
• Work within the toolroom and press department to ensure tools are operating at peak efficiency.
• Delegate troubleshooting and die maintenance responsibilities clearly.
• Assist Toolmakers/Apprentices and toolroom staff to make quality and tooling related decisions.
• Improve efficiencies, process and product flow, safety and quality.
