Job summary

Amsted Automotive Group, TransForm Products, is seeking a Tooling Engineer to support new projects, plant operations, and cost-reduction efforts. You will design tooling fixtures and dies, develop blueprints, and collaborate with engineering to ensure tooling meets production needs.

The role requires at least 3 years in engineering within a heavy industrial setting, and familiarity with tool steels and PVD coatings. This is a hands-on position in a stamping environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required or strongly preferred.
• At least 3 years of experience in an engineering role, preferably in a heavy industrial setting.
• Knowledge of tool steels and PVD coating selections.

Responsibilities

• Design tooling fixtures, gauges and mechanisms for manufacturing purposes.
• Develop blueprints for new and existing tooling designs per specs.
• Use CAD/AutoCAD to analyze and improve tooling designs.
• Obtain cost estimates from outside sources for tooling and components.
• Prepare detailed drawings of tools and dies to maximize productivity and quality.
• Share designs and incorporate feedback from colleagues.
