Job summary

Challenge Manufacturing is seeking an Advanced Tooling Engineer for its Walker, MI facility. This role supports GD&T creation, tool design coordination, and timestamped development from quoting through production to ensure 100% quality stampings for customers.

The position is 1st shift, Monday–Friday, based at our Walker, MI plant. A minimum of six years in tool and die or stamping is required, with a Bachelor's degree preferred; ESOP benefits and growth opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Supports the creation of GD&T and tolerancing
• Coordinates tool design and build processes
• Creates SOWs and manages supplier quotes
• Monitors tooling and gage progress from PO to validation

Responsibilities

• Coordinate tool design, tool build, and review cycles.
• Review part layouts and ensure tooling meets Challenge specifications.
• Maintain tooling project schedules and timelines.
• Track open issues and ensure timely closures.
