Job summary

Gestamp is seeking an experienced Tool & Die journeyman to manage processes and people, perform scheduled and unscheduled tool and die making, repair, and equipment maintenance in our automotive stamping facility.

You will troubleshoot, fabricate and repair dies, fixtures and related tooling, participate in audit schedules (ISO 9001/IATF 16949) and drive continuous improvements, with overtime and shift flexibility.

Qualifications

• Must be a Team oriented player and work well with others.
• Reading detail prints and ordering perishable details.
• Willing to work any shift as Plant schedule requires.
• Willing to work overtime including Sundays to maintain plant functions.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, upkeep, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement of tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures in an automotive stamping and robotic welding facility.
• Fabricate new and repair existing dies, fixtures, and tooling for robotic weld cells and spot weld cells.
• Participate in internal ISO 9001/IATF 16949 audits and Layered Process Audit schedules.
• Support engineering changes and die setting as required.
