Job summary

Napleton Automotive Group in Wayzata is seeking an Automotive Technician to perform vehicle repair and maintenance to dealer and factory standards. This role helps build customer loyalty through accurate diagnostics and clear communication with customers and teammates.

The position offers a pay range of $25-$35 per flat rate hour, plus paid training, manufacturer certifications, tool reimbursements, flexible scheduling, and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401K, paid

Qualifications

• Automotive Service Technician experience.
• ASE certification desirable.
• Excellent customer service.
• Strong communication skills.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• 18+ years of age and ability to pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle repair and/or maintenance per repair order to dealer and factory standards.
• Communicate with Parts Department and Service Advisors to manage production and customer communication.
• Diagnose causes of malfunctions and perform repairs.
• Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical staff and customers.
• Stay updated on factory bulletins and training classes.
• Keep management informed of repair issues as they occur.
• Maintain an organized work area.
• Other duties assigned by manager.

Located at Napletton's Lexus of Wayzata, theAutomotive Technicianwill be responsible for vehicle repair and maintenance as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards. This position will build Customer loyalty by developing trust and ensuring confidence in Napleton through effectively diagnosing vehicles.

Job Responsibilities:

• Performing vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards to drive Customer loyalty.
• Communicating with Parts Department and Service Advisors regularly to effectively manage production and Customer communication.
• Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction and perform repair.
• Adequately explains technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include employees and customers
• Keeping abreast of factory technical bulletins and participating in factory-sponsored training classes as appropriate
• Keeps store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur
• Maintains an organized work area
• Other duties assigned by manager

Job Requirements:

• Automotive Service Technician experience
• ASE certification desirable
• Excellent customer service
• Strong communication skills
• Valid Driver’s License
• 18+ years of age or older to comply with the company driving policy
• Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screen in accordance with local/law regulations.
