Job summary

Ed Napleton Automotive Group is seeking an Automotive Technician for Napleton's Lexus of Wayzata. The role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles while building trust with customers through clear communication and reliable service.

The position offers competitive pay ($40-$50 per flat rate hour), paid training and certifications, and benefits. ASE certification is desirable; a valid driver’s license and background check are required.

Qualifications

• Automotive Service Technician experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle repair and/or maintenance as outlined on repair order.
• Communicate with Parts Department and Service Advisors regularly.
• Diagnose the cause of malfunctions and perform repairs.
• Explain diagnoses and needed repairs to customers.
• Keep abreast of factory bulletins and training.
• Maintain an organized work area.
• Other duties assigned by manager.

Job Responsibilities:

• Performing vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards to drive Customer loyalty.
• Communicating with Parts Department and Service Advisors regularly to effectively manage production and Customer communication.
• Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction and perform repair.
• Adequately explains technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include employees and customers
• Keeping abreast of factory technical bulletins and participating in factory-sponsored training classes as appropriate
• Keeps store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur
• Maintains an organized work area
• Other duties assigned by manager

Job Requirements:

• Automotive Service Technician experience
• ASE certification desirable
• Excellent customer service
• Strong communication skills
• Valid Driver’s License
• 18+ years of age or older to comply with the company driving policy
