Job summary

The Ed Napleton Automotive Group is seeking an Automotive Technician to join Napleton's team. The role involves performing vehicle repairs and maintenance to factory standards, while building customer trust and loyalty through clear communication and quality work.

Qualifications

• Automotive Service Technician experience required or at least one year in a service environment.
• ASE certification desirable to enhance competency and advancement opportunities.
• Excellent customer service skills and strong communication with customers and team.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle repair and/or maintenance as outlined on repair order per dealer and factory standards.
• Communicate regularly with Parts Department and Service Advisors to manage production and customer communication.
• Diagnose causes of malfunctions and perform repairs; clearly explain needed work to customers and staff.
• Stay updated with factory technical bulletins and participate in required training.
• Maintain an organized work area and report repair issues to management as needed.
• Fulfill other duties as assigned by manager.

Job Responsibilities:

• Performing vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards to drive Customer loyalty.
• Communicating with Parts Department and Service Advisors regularly to effectively manage production and Customer communication.
• Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction and perform repair.
• Adequately explains technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include employees and customers
• Keeping abreast of factory technical bulletins and participating in factory-sponsored training classes as appropriate
• Keeps store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur
• Maintains an organized work area
• Other duties assigned by manager

Job Requirements:

• Automotive Service Technician experience
• ASE certification desirable
• Excellent customer service
• Strong communication skills
• Valid Driver’s License
• 18+ years of age or older to comply with the company driving policy
• Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screen in accordance with local/law regulations.
