Job summary

Ed Napleton Automotive Group is seeking an Automotive Technician for Napleton's Lexus of Wayzata. The technician will diagnose and repair vehicles per dealer and factory standards, building trust with customers and maintaining high service quality.

The role offers paid training, manufacturer certifications, cross-training, and career advancement within a large dealership network. Competitive pay per flat-rate hour with incentive-based earnings and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Automotive Service Technician experience required.
• ASE certification desirable.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle repair and maintenance as outlined on repair orders.
• Communicate with Parts Department and Service Advisors to manage production and customer communication.
• Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs; explain fixes to customers or staff.
• Stay updated with factory bulletins and participate in training as appropriate.
• Maintain an organized work area and report issues to management.

Job Responsibilities:

• Performing vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards to drive Customer loyalty.
• Communicating with Parts Department and Service Advisors regularly to effectively manage production and Customer communication.
• Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction and perform repair.
• Adequately explains technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include employees and customers
• Keeping abreast of factory technical bulletins and participating in factory-sponsored training classes as appropriate
• Keeps store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur
• Maintains an organized work area
• Other duties assigned by manager
