Qualifications

Automotive Technician

The Ed Napleton Automotive Group is looking for our next Automotive Technician. This is an exciting opportunity in a growing, fast-paced industry. Located at Napletton's Lexus of Wayzata, the Automotive Technician will be responsible for vehicle repair and maintenance as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards. This position will build Customer loyalty by developing trust and ensuring confidence in Napleton through effectively diagnosing vehicles.

Job Responsibilities

• Performing vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards to drive Customer loyalty.
• Communicating with Parts Department and Service Advisors regularly to effectively manage production and Customer communication.
• Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction and performing repair.
• Adequately explaining technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include employees and customers.
• Keeping abreast of factory technical bulletins and participating in factory-sponsored training classes as appropriate.
• Keeping store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur.
• Maintaining an organized work area.
• Other duties assigned by manager.

Job Requirements

• Automotive Service Technician experience.
• ASE certification desirable.
• Excellent customer service.
• Strong communication skills.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• 18+ years of age or older to comply with the company driving policy.
• Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screen in accordance with local/law regulations.
