Job summary

Napleton's Lexus of Wayzata, part of the Ed Napleton Automotive Group, is hiring an Automotive Master Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles to dealer and factory standards.

You will build customer loyalty by explaining repairs clearly, staying current with factory bulletins, and pursuing manufacturer certifications. The role includes paid training, tool allowances, and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Automotive service technician experience is required.
• Excellent customer service skills are essential.
• Strong communication skills are needed to coordinate with customers and staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle repair and/or maintenance as outlined on repair orders per dealer and factory standards.
• Communicate with Parts Department and Service Advisors to manage production and customer communication.
• Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs.
• Explain diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals.
• Stay updated with factory bulletins and participate in training classes as appropriate.
• Keep management informed of repair problems as they occur.
• Maintain an organized work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned by manager.

Located at Napleton's Lexus of Wayzata, theAutomotive Master Technicianwill be responsible for vehicle repair and maintenance as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards. Job Responsibilities:

• Performing vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards to drive Customer loyalty.
• Communicating with Parts Department and Service Advisors regularly to effectively manage production and Customer communication.
• Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction and perform repair.
• Adequately explains technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include employees and customers
• Keeping abreast of factory technical bulletins and participating in factory-sponsored training classes as appropriate
• Keeps store management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur
• Maintains an organized work area
• Other duties assigned by manager

Job Requirements:

• Automotive Service Technician experience
• ASE certification desirable
• Excellent customer service
• Strong communication skills
• Valid Driver’s License
• 18+ years of age or older to comply with the company driving policy
• Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screen in accordance with local/law regulations.
