Pep Boys Inc. is seeking a professional Technician to inspect, diagnose and repair tire and automotive services while delivering an exceptional customer experience.

The role requires explaining technical diagnoses to customers and coworkers, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of automotive technology through ongoing training. A positive, customer‑focused attitude and a valid driver’s license are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1+ year of automotive diagnostic, problem-solving and repair experience preferred.
• 2+ ASE certifications preferred (A4 Steering & Suspension; A5 Brakes).
• 609 certification preferred.
• State inspection license if applicable.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Must pass pre-employment background check.
• Able to work days, nights, holidays and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications—brake/hydraulic, exhaust, electrical, cooling, suspension/alignments and maintenance services.
• Explain diagnoses and needed repairs to coworkers and customers clearly.
• Continuously learn new automotive information and techniques in formal training.
• Assist other technicians in technical activities.
• Keep management informed of repair problems as they occur.
• Maintain an organized, clean shop floor.
• Adhere to company policies, safety, and environmental rules.
