Job summary

UPS is seeking an Automotive Technician to maintain a diverse fleet including delivery vehicles, heavy-duty tractors and trailers. The role involves troubleshooting and servicing hydraulic brakes, electrical systems, and engine controls, with shifts on 2nd or 3rd depending on location.

Candidates must have hand tools and a valid driver’s license. The position offers weekly pay, comprehensive training, 401(k), and medical-dental-vision benefits after probation, plus paid time off and holidays.

Qualifications

• Current documented automotive mechanical experience.
• Experience using diagnostic equipment, scan tools and personal computer.
• Possesses full complement of personal hand tools.
• Class A/B or A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) - Preferred.
• Dependable with ability to report to work on a regular and timely basis.

Responsibilities

• Meets D.O.T requirements required by job assignment.
• Bends, stoops, squats, kneels, crouches, crawls, climbs ladders and stairs, stands, walks, and turns/pivots frequently throughout duration of workday.
• Sits infrequently, as required, throughout duration of workday.
• Operates standard and manual transmission.
• Operates power and pneumatic tools.
