Job summary

SONS KIA of Montgomery is seeking a Service Technician to join our service department. Experience is preferred, but novice technicians are welcome as we provide training. The dealership emphasizes customer care and a loyal clientele.

Qualifications

• ASE certifications preferred.
• Novice techs encouraged to apply - we will train you!
• Strong automotive background.
• Strong teamwork skills.
• Willing to submit to a drug screen and background check.
• Must have clean and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and test components/systems using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, and A/C.
• Communicate with Service Advisor to inform customers and estimate time for additional repairs.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
