Job summary

SONS Automotive Group in Brunswick, GA is seeking a Service Technician to join our service department. We offer guaranteed paid training, medical and dental insurance, a 401(k), paid vacation, and a family-run environment to support your growth in a trusted shop.

Responsibilities include performing repair work per order, test-driving and diagnosing systems, and communicating with the Service Advisor on additional services and time estimates. ASE preferred, we train newcomers.

Qualifications

• ASE certifications preferred.
• Novice techs encouraged to apply - we will train you!
• Strong automotive background and teamwork skills.
• Willing to submit to a drug screen and background check.
• Must have clean & valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership.
• Test-drive vehicles and use diagnostic tools and service equipment.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle systems including engine, transmission, brakes, and A/C.
• Communicate with the Service Advisor about additional services and time estimates.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
