Job summary

Smart Kia is seeking automotive service Technicians to diagnose and repair vehicles at our Davenport, IA location. Responsibilities include performing repairs per repair orders, test-driving after service, and maintaining clear communication with the Service Advisor and customers.

Qualifications

• One year in automotive technician preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Experience using diagnostic tools and completing repair orders.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose the cause of malfunctions and perform repairs.
• Complete work specified on the repair order efficiently and per dealership standards.
• Test-drive vehicles and test components and systems with diagnostic tools.
• Diagnose, maintain, and repair automotive systems including engine, transmission, steering, suspension, brakes, A/C, etc.
• Communicate with the Service Advisor to update customers on needed additional services and timing.
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.

TECHNICIANS WANTED

Service Technician Duties:

• Diagnose the cause of any malfunction and perform repair
• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with the dealership
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
• Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of the time needed for additional repairs
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
