Job summary

FullSpeed Automotive in Livonia, MI is seeking an Assistant Manager to help lead daily service operations, keep the shop safe and efficient, and support the Store Manager. This role blends hands-on work in the bay with front-counter and back-office tasks to deliver fast, high-quality automotive service.

You will coach technicians and service advisors, manage scheduling, uphold safety standards, handle cash and POS activity, monitor inventory, and strive for exceptional customer experiences.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in retail, automotive service, or customer-facing leadership role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; able to lead a team.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, hands-on environment including service bay work.
• Cash handling and basic math skills; experience with POS and inventory systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily store operations in the manager's absence.
• Coach and motivate technicians and service advisors to deliver high-quality service.
• Assist with scheduling to ensure proper coverage during peak hours.
• Onboard and train new team members on service procedures and customer service standards.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and productive work environment and monitor compliance with safety protocols.
