Job summary

Performance Kings Honda in Cincinnati, OH is seeking an Assistant Automotive Service Manager to help lead our high-volume service department. You will coach service advisors and technicians, ensure exceptional customer satisfaction, and help meet department sales and profitability goals.

This role emphasizes team development, workflow efficiency, warranty compliance, and collaboration with Parts, Sales, and Warranty teams to create a seamless customer experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years automotive service experience, preferably in a leadership or advisor role.
• Strong knowledge of service department operations and repair processes.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities.
• Experience with dealership management systems (CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, Dealertrack, Tekion, or similar preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assist the Service Manager with daily service department operations.
• Support, coach, and develop service advisors and support staff.
• Monitor workflow and technician productivity to ensure efficient vehicle repairs and maintenance.
• Help maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and resolve customer concerns professionally.
• Review repair orders for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with dealership standards.
• Forward thinking, build and execute projects and timelines.
• Ensure warranty, manufacturer, and dealership policies are followed.
• Monitor appointment scheduling and service retention efforts.
• Assist in achieving department sales, gross profit, and CSI goals.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized service department.
• Collaborate with Parts, Sales, and Warranty departments to ensure a seamless customer experience.
• Step into leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Service Manager.
