Job summary

FullSpeed Automotive in Texas is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in day-to-day operations across service bay, front counter, and back office. This hands-on role helps ensure fast, friendly, high-quality automotive service while keeping the location safe and well-run.

You will lead by example, coach technicians and service advisors, schedule coverage, onboard new hires, greet customers, present service options, resolve concerns, and contribute to building repeat

Qualifications

• 1+ years in a retail, automotive service, or customer-facing leadership role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment that includes time in the service bay.
• Basic math and cash-handling skills; comfortable using point-of-sale and inventory systems.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and some holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations and assist Store Manager when absent.
• Coach, train, and motivate technicians and service advisors to deliver quality service.
• Assist with scheduling and onboarding new team members.
• Greet customers, explain services, and ensure quality and speed.
• Manage cash handling and point-of-sale transactions; monitor inventory.
• Maintain shop cleanliness and safety; uphold brand standards.
• Track daily sales, productivity, and KPIs to stay aligned with goals.
