Job summary

Pep Boys Inc. is seeking a customer-focused associate to engage customers at the service desk and sales floor. You will schedule appointments, promote parts and services, and ensure accurate transactions and vehicle service knowledge.

You will conduct routine express automotive services, assist with work orders and store operations, and maintain a safe, organized environment in line with company policies. Strong math, communication, and customer service skills are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Valid Driver's License is required.
• One year of related experience in automotive service environment is required.
• One year of sales experience is preferred.
• Must understand basic math for commissions and discounts.
• Strong verbal communication and customer service skills are essential.
• Ability to work Days, Nights, Weekends, Holidays.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first point of contact for customers by phone or in store; engage customers, schedule appointments, and promote parts and services.
• Organize and manage service business activities, including work orders, registrations, and knowledge of parts and services.
• Assist in customer care tasks, work orders, register assistance, facility maintenance, and Outside Purchase ordering.
• Follow policies for cash, credit, checks, refunds and returns; collaborate with management on issues and opportunities.
• Perform routine express automotive services including tire mounting/balancing/rotations, oil changes, fluid top-offs, lubrications, and bulb replacement; inspect vehicles.
