Job summary

Colonial Group seeks a Manager-in-Training (MIT) to learn VIP's management processes and lead a team at our Windham location. The MIT will ensure safe operations, deliver excellent customer experiences, and support program execution across shifts.

You'll develop a high-performing team, participate in LMS and vendor trainings, schedule staff, and coordinate with management. This role offers hands-on growth toward a leadership position within VIP's dealership operations.

Qualifications

• Ability to lead a team and manage operations in a dealership environment.
• Commitment to safety policies and regulatory compliance.
• Willingness to participate in on-going training and off-site sessions several times per year.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize workplace safety as the top priority and enforce safety policies.
• Learn VIP’s management approach to build an extraordinary team delivering great customer experience.
• Hire, develop and coach associates; ensure LMS and vendor trainings; support ASE certification prep.
• Schedule staff to meet customer demand across all hours of operation.
• Communicate with the team via daily huddles and regular meetings; monitor emails for customer appointments.
• Assist with dispatching work orders to technicians following the first-available policy.
• Attend off-site meetings and trainings as needed.
