Job summary

Colonial Group seeks a Manager-in-Training (M.I.T.) to learn our VIP culture and management processes, preparing to lead a team to ensure safe, compliant operations and outstanding customer experiences at their location.

The MIT will develop the team, hire and coach associates, ensure LMS and vendor training, and oversee scheduling to meet customer needs across all hours of operation. Strong leadership and automotive service knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Two years related experience in automotive service management.
• Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended.
• ASE Certifications C1 – Service Consultant, P2 – Parts Specialist, G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended.
• State Inspection License required (where applicable)

Responsibilities

• Learn VIP’s strategic approach to building an Extraordinary Team and delivering an exceptional customer experience.
• Hire and develop associates and ensure LMS and vendor training completion.
• Schedule the team to meet customer needs across all hours of operation.
• Communicate effectively with the team via daily huddles and store meetings.
• Train and support the 5 for 5 process to educate customers about vehicle conditions and solutions.
