FullSpeed Automotive in Waterford Charter Township, Michigan, is seeking an Assistant Manager to join our hands-on, fast-paced service environment. You will split your time between the service bay, front counter, and back office while supporting the Store Manager in daily operations.

Lead a team of technicians and service advisors, drive exceptional customer experiences, and help manage scheduling, inventory, and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in a retail, automotive service, or customer-facing leadership role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead a team.
• Fast-paced, hands-on environment including service bay work.
• Basic math and cash-handling skills; comfortable with POS & inventory systems.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.
• Availability to work weekends and some holidays.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example; supervise daily operations in the manager's absence.
• Coach, train, and motivate technicians and service advisors.
• Schedule team coverage during peak hours and seasons.
• Onboard new team members on procedures, POS, and customer service.
• Foster a positive, customer-focused work environment reflecting brand values.
• Assist with opening/closing, cash handling, and POS transactions.
• Monitor inventory levels and order as directed.
• Ensure shop and customer areas are clean, organized, and compliant with safety policies.
