Job summary

Midas Auto Experts is seeking an Automotive Service Assistant Manager to lead and coordinate service technicians in our tire and automotive repair shop. The role involves supervising shop activities, ensuring safety, and maintaining high customer service standards.

You will liaise between managers, customers, and staff, fill in for the Manager when needed, and promote learning and development within the team while aligning with our vision and values.

Responsibilities

• Manage and direct all automotive and general service technicians in the shop
• Ensure a safe, secure, and trustworthy work environment
• Fill in for the Manager in times of absence and make executive decisions
• Support ongoing learning and development of team members
• Establishes strategic goals by gathering information from reporting documents
• Define objectives and evaluate options, choose a course of action and evaluate outcomes
• Lead by example and align with company vision, values, and creed
• Ensure policies and procedures are followed by all employees
• Deliver exceptional customer service while listening and consulting customers
• Oversee vehicle inspections and build computerized repair orders with sourced parts
• Discuss pricing estimates with customers and promote services and financing options
• Monitor the quality of vehicles signed out
• Supervise up to 10 employees
• Monitor inventory levels and manage product ordering/receipts
• Maintain a clean and organized job site
• Perform other duties as assigned
