Midas Auto Experts is seeking an Automotive Service Assistant Manager to lead the service department, supervise technicians, and uphold high standards of customer service. This role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and operational excellence in a retail tire and auto repair setting.

The candidate will oversee vehicle inspections, prepare repair orders, discuss pricing with customers, and drive efficiency while mentoring staff and maintaining inventory control.

Responsibilities

• Manage and direct all automotive and general service technicians in the shop.
• Maintain a safe, secure, and trustworthy work environment.
• Coordinate between managers, customers, and employees; fill in for Manager when needed.
• Support ongoing learning and development of team members.
• Set strategic goals by reviewing reporting information and trends.
• Define objectives, evaluate options, and choose action plans.
• Lead by example and align with company values and employee creed.
• Ensure policy compliance by all employees.
• Deliver exceptional customer service while consulting customers.
• Oversee vehicle inspection and prepare repair orders with sourced parts.
• Discuss pricing estimates with customers and promote shop services and financing.
• Monitor vehicle quality before sign-out; supervise up to 10 employees.
• Manage inventory levels and ordering; keep the work site clean and organized.
